Photo thank you cards – a great personal touch

Today I received a photo thank you card from a friend we’d recently sent flowers to on the birth of their son. It was a great gift and I thought an inspired way to send a photo of the new baby along with all the usual information like confirming his name and weight.

That got me thinking to what else you could use photo thank you card for. With costs now really quite cheap, I think you are only limited by your imagination. So how about a photo thank you card from on honeymoon with a picture from you actually on the beach rather than just some random couple, or a card to thank someone for asking if you are well with either a picture from your hospital bed, or back out on the golf course depending on the news. A banker could send the Treasury a photo thank you card from his yacht to say thank you for the bailouts or you could even send a picture of you reading the photo thank you card to someone who just sent you one.

Of course photo thank you card is the end of the process. What about picture invitations. Gone would be the question of a party dress code if the picture on the invitation showed how people were dressing. An invitation to stay at your house could actually be of your house. Again, it comes down to your imagination. An invitation to a baptism might obviously include a picture of the baby, but the image for a picture invitation to a bris may need a little more thought.

With both ends covered, the next option might be to personalise place settings. With access to Facebook and Flickr it shouldn’t be too difficult to have place settings with baby pictures or school photos. If nothing else that would be a great ice breaker and conversation starter and get over some of the social difficulties in sitting people who don’t know each other together.

There are so many great places offering these services, there seems to be a niche for every sort of photo thank you card or picture invitation you can imagine. When I come up with good examples I’ll let you know.
